La division basketball du swoosh ajoute Ja Morant à la liste de ses athlètes en dévoilant son premier modèle signature, la Nike Ja 1 Day One.
A l’instar de Jayson Tatum, la star des Memphis Grizzlies, sous contrat avec Nike depuis 2019, rejoint donc le cercle fermé des joueurs NBA à bénéficier de sa propre silhouette. À noter que la dernière en date remontait à 2017 avec les débuts du modèle imaginé pour Paul George.
Alors que l’équipementier vient officiellement de mettre un terme à son partenariat avec Kyrie Irving, Ja Morant aura la lourde tâche de combler la place laissée vide. Il représente notamment le premier athlète NBA de la marque au swoosh appartenant à la génération Z.
La silhouette basse combine du mesh et du cuir au niveau de son upper. Cette édition présente des tons pastels bleu, jaune et rose. On retrouve le logo “JA” stylisé et accompagné d’un chevron sur la languette. Le numéro “12”, quant à lui, est disposé sur le talon entouré par les deux swooshes latéraux en TPU. L’ensemble repose sur une semelle équipée d’une unité Air Zoom.
